About Leameah

Leameah (an aboriginal word which loosely means “place to rest”), is the ideal place to relax, unwind and enjoy the pleasures of the "bottom end" of Yorke Peninsula. It is well positioned next to Willyama Beach and within close proximity to the pristine beaches and spectacular coastline of Innes National Park.

The house is elevated to take in views over the bay and is tastefully furnished with quality furniture and fittings. It is truly a lovely place to enjoy and "rest"!

Location

Leameah is located within the newer section of Marion Bay and next to Willyama Beach. It is approximately 3 hours drive from Adelaide at the “bottom end” of Yorke Peninsula.

Marion Bay has a small population of 130 people which swells to 800-900 during peak holiday periods. It is a quiet seaside town which offers fishing charters, safe swimming beaches, jetty fishing and beautiful beach walks. The town has a general store and a tavern which serves excellent meals and provides beautiful views over the bay.

Marion Bay is also the gateway to Innes National Park which encompasses spectacular coastal landscapes, a diversity of wildlife, pristine beaches and heritage maritime and mining history. Innes National Park provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities including bushwalking, photography, bird-watching, fishing and surfing. It is a wonderful and diverse part of Yorke Peninsula!

Features

Leameah is a pole beam house that is elevated to take in views over Marion Bay. It is tastefully furnished with quality furniture and fittings. The house is fully equipped with everything to make your stay enjoyable including full kitchen facilities, Nespresso coffee machine, BBQ, laundry area, plasma TV, ipod dock, combustion heater, air-conditioning (living area upstairs) and undercover deck. There are two bedrooms upstairs, both with QS ensembles and the second bedroom also has a bunk bed. If additional space is required, the downstairs area can be hired to provide an extra bedroom, bathroom and lounge.

Peak: 1st October - 9th June

Off peak: 10th June - 30th September

$180/night for up to 6 people (upstairs only)
$250/night for upstairs & downstairs for up to 6 people.
$10/person/night for additional persons up a maximum of 8 people.

Conditions

Conditions of hire: Payment of a $250 non refundable deposit to confirm a booking. Payment can be made via cheque or EFT. Balance of hire fee due 1 week prior to date of booking. Check in from 2pm. Check out by 11am. Strictly no smoking inside the house. Strictly no pets. The owner reserves the right to terminate hire upon complaints from local residents. Bond: The owner reserves the right to request a bond. Additional fees may apply for extra cleaning if the house and property is not left in a neat and tidy condition. Damage and loss will be charged for at cost and at the discretion of the owner. Cancellations: If a cancellation occurs and the property is not rebooked, the owner reserves the right to refund at their discretion.

The skeletons of around forty shipwrecks are lying on the ocean bed off the coast of Yorke Peninsula and Innes National Park. The remains of the Ethel can still be seen today.
